Turn a Spare Phone Into a Baby Monitor
Lullabies turns an old phone or tablet into a Hub: a baby monitor that sits in the Nursery, plays sound over Bluetooth, and lets you check in from anywhere your phone has signal.
How the Hub works as a monitor
Pair a spare iPhone, iPad, or Android device as the Hub, then place it in the Nursery so its camera and microphone can cover the room. Open the Remote on your own phone to check the live camera and audio feed, or tap in from an Apple Watch or Wear OS watch — no shared Wi-Fi required, since commands and video sync through the cloud. Pairing takes one scan of a short-lived code shown on the Hub, and after that it just sits there, plugged in, doing its job.
Moments and possible-cry alerts
Save a private snapshot, photo, or a 30-second silent clip as a Moment whenever you want a closer look — every Moment stays in your Moments inbox for seven days, and a copy you save to your own phone's Photos stays there for as long as you keep it. Turn on Night Insights and you'll get a notification for a possible cry, plus a record of Hub availability and reported activity, so you're not staring at the screen all night waiting for something to happen.
What it costs, and what it doesn't do yet
Baby Monitor is part of the one-time Lifetime unlock — priced once in your App Store or Google Play, no subscription — alongside multi-Nursery support and Make a Lullaby. It's a live-view and Moments monitor, not a recorder: Lullabies doesn't keep a continuous video archive, and possible-cry alerts are a heads-up, not a medical device or a sleep measurement. Dedicated camera hardware is on our roadmap as a later integration, not available yet, so today's Baby Monitor runs entirely on whatever spare phone or tablet you already own.
More than one Nursery
Running more than one Nursery? Pair a Hub for each room — twins, or two kids down the hall — and switch between them from the same Remote. Each room's Moments, possible-cry alerts, and Hub battery status stay separate, so checking on one Nursery never mixes up what you're seeing with another.

No. The Hub and your Remote sync through the cloud, so they can be on completely different networks — handy for grandparents' houses, hotels, or a Hub on your home Wi-Fi while you're out.
It's an opt-in notification from Night Insights when the Hub picks up something that sounds like crying. It's a heads-up, not a certain detection or a sleep measurement — always trust your own judgment over the alert.

Yes — invite them to the Nursery with a 6-character code from Settings. They can play sounds and run timers, and can get possible-cry alerts if you (the Nursery owner) turn them on for that person; you also control who can view the live camera and saved Moments.
